We don't quote by the square foot over the phone, because the number would be wrong. We come out, look at the actual walls, and give you a written estimate — one price with everything in it. The estimate is free and there's no obligation. Whatever you agree to is what ends up on the invoice.

A single room is usually a day. An empty single-family repaint is commonly one to two days. Cabinets take longer than people expect, because the finish has to cure between coats — we tell you the schedule before we start, not while we are in the middle of it.

No. Plenty of our customers leave a key or a code and go to work. We'd like you there at the start, so we can walk the job together, and at the end for the final walk-through. In between it's up to you.

Yes. Moving and covering furniture, floors and fixtures is part of the job, not an add-on. We put it back where it came from.

Yes, and we check it before we quote rather than after. Plenty of communities here — Scottsdale especially — have an approved palette, and painting outside it can mean doing the work twice. If the colour you want isn't on the list, we'll tell you what the submittal actually involves instead of pretending it isn't there.

That's the whole point of refinishing. The doors and drawer fronts come off and get labelled so each one goes back on the hinge it came from; the boxes and face frames are done in place, masked off from the rest of the room. You keep the cabinets you have and the layout you have.

Whatever the surface and the exposure call for — a south-facing stucco wall in Phoenix and an interior hallway are not the same problem. Block drinks primer and needs a masonry product; cabinets need a bonding primer built for them. The specific products are named in your written estimate, so you can look them up before you agree to anything.

Yes, but scheduled around the surface temperature rather than the calendar. Paint applied to a wall that is too hot fails early, so in high summer exteriors get done on the shaded elevations and in the cooler part of the day. We would rather move a day than hand you a finish that lets go in a year.

Ask us for the licence number and the certificate of insurance and we'll send both before any work starts. Arizona licences are public: you can look up any contractor at azroc.gov and see the licence status and any complaints yourself. Do that with us, and with whoever else you're getting a bid from.
